Becoming a Practitioner
Course Sequence:
1. Overview of Traditional Chinese Medicine (online)
2. Introduction to Animal Acupressure Hands on Training - Equine or Small Animal
3. Meridian Theory (online)
4. Meridians & Specific Conditions Hands on Training - Equine or Small Animal
5. Introduction to Five Element Theory (online)
6. Acupoint Classification (online)
7. Acupoint Energetics & Landmark Anatomy (online) - Equine or Small Animal
8. Pathology (online) - Equine or Small Animal
9. Indicators & Assessment (online) - Equine or Small Animal
10. Proficiency Verification (online)- Equine or Small Animal
Two elective courses (40 Hours) are also required to complete the Practitioner Training Program. To be eligible to sit for the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure & Massage (NBCAAM) exam, one of the two electives needs to be a hands-on course of 20 + verifiable hours approved by NBCAAM.
Elective courses may include the study of: essential oils, Reiki, crystals, massage, etc. and preferably in working with animals. Participants are requested to submit copies of certificates, letters or other verification of completion for courses in other complementary therapies to fulfill the elective requirement of (40 hours).
To Become Dual-Certified (Equine and Small Animal)
Complete 1 to 10 for the first species.
Repeat 2, 4, 7, 8, and 9 for the second species.
